The Copthorne Hotel Slough - Windsor is looking for an experienced Meetings, Events & Groups Sales Manager to lead our dynamic Meetings & Events team. Meetings, Events & Groups Sales Manager, your key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Meetings and Events Sales team, including training, development planning, and coaching to ensure high performance.
  • Oversee sales systems and processes, ensuring timely client follow-ups and effective conversion of business opportunities.
  • Proactively target and secure new direct and agency business in alignment with the hotels sales strategy.
  • Manage and develop existing corporate accounts, fostering strong relationships to maximize revenue.
  • Conduct site inspections, client consultations, and stay informed on market trends, products, and competitor activities.
  • Drive the conversion of Meetings and Events inquiries, supporting the in-house sales team with detailed hotel information, rates, and availability.
  • Develop and implement the hotel sales plan to maximize revenue and profit from Meetings, Events, and Group sales.
  • Actively pursue new MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) business opportunities to grow market share.
  • Arrange and conduct sales appointments with professional follow-up to nurture client relationships.

As Meetings, Events & Groups Sales Manager the essential skills required:

  • Previous experience in the hotel industry is essential.
  • Familiarity with Delphi and Opera Cloud is desirable, alongside a high level of IT proficiency.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service, with a resilient and accountable approach.
  • The ability to perform under pressure and remain flexible in responding to varied work situations.
  • Self-motivated, commercially aware, and results-oriented, with a proactive attitude toward achieving targets.
  • Strong understanding of the local market, coupled with the ability to motivate, train, and support the team effectively.
