Chief Learning Officer – AI, Ed Tech
Job Description:
- Advance the Global Institute’s global AI learning agenda and develop cross-cutting frameworks on AI and the future of education
- Explore AI’s impact on educational purpose, transformational teaching and learning, educator co-design, educator development, and measurement
- Lead and manage strategic relationships with leading AI organizations including Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google
- Build product feedback loops using Teach For All’s global network as a testing ground in under-resourced educational contexts
- Broker partnerships for free or discounted software licenses, API access, hardware, and engineering support
- Represent Teach For All perspectives at international forums, roundtables, and policy conventions
- Convene and lead the cross-functional AI Circle across global teams
- Support scaling teacher and alumni AI innovation through the AI Literacy & Creator Collective
- Support network partners testing AI-enabled innovations in recruitment, selection, teacher training, and leadership development
- Consult on building an AI-enabled cross-border learning network
- Champion AI-use policy, child safeguarding, data privacy, and ethical compliance
- Report directly to Teach For All CEO Wendy Kopp
Requirements:
- 12–15+ years of professional experience
- At least 7+ years in strategic roles leading technological transformations, educational technology initiatives, or technology-sector work
- Robust understanding of contemporary AI architectures, large language models, enterprise API integrations, RAG-based systems, and custom data infrastructure such as middleware and unified data layers
- Proven track record cultivating and navigating multi-million-dollar funding relationships or strategic partnerships with top-tier technology and/or venture capital firms
- Deep commitment to Teach For All’s vision and mission
- Contextual knowledge of educational and structural realities facing underserved, low-resource communities
- Commitment to equity, child safety, human judgment, and culturally responsive, ethical practice
- Demonstrated ability to align cross-functional teams without relying purely on rigid hierarchical authority
- Strong storytelling, public speaking, and written communication skills
- Ability to explain highly technical AI concepts clearly to diverse audiences
- Comfort leading in highly diverse, globally distributed, 100% remote team environments
- Strong cross-cultural awareness

- Must already possess valid work and residency authorization in the country of hire; no employment visa sponsorship, immigration assistance, or work-permit/residency support
