Work Integrated Non-Technical Learner

Description

Transnet’s Work Integrated Learning Programme provides TVET College students and recent graduates with practical workplace experience. The 18-month programme allows participants to apply their Office Management knowledge in a professional environment. Learners will receive supervised training, mentorship and exposure to administrative and operational activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with projects within an assigned department or workstream.
  • Complete routine operational duties under supervision.
  • Support administrative activities, documentation and reporting.
  • Attend training sessions, workshops and mentorship activities.
  • Shadow experienced employees to develop practical workplace knowledge.
  • Participate in problem-solving and analytical activities.
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
  • Provide updates on assigned duties and project progress.
  • Respond to routine queries and requests for assistance.
  • Conduct market research and collect relevant data.
  • Analyse information supporting business decisions.
  • Prepare reports and presentations using Microsoft Office.
  • Assist with process-improvement initiatives.
  • Follow organisational policies, procedures and safety regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality, integrity and professional conduct.

Requirements

  • Matric or an equivalent qualification.
  • Completion of all theoretical subjects from N4 to N6 in Office Management at a TVET College.
  • South African citizenship.
  • Must be between 18 and 35 years old.
  • Must not have a bursary obligation with another company.
  • A recent confirmation letter from the educational institution.
  • Certified copy of the Matric certificate.
  • Certified academic record.
  • Certified copy of the South African identity document.
  • Availability to complete the full 18-month programme.
