Job Type: FIXED TERM for 12 months - 37.5 hours per week

Hourly Rate: £14.86

Job Purpose:

The Warehouse Operative is responsible for carrying out any role required of them within the warehouse environment. This can range from Receiving, Replenishment, Toting, Picking, Loading and Despatching of a wide range of OTC Medicines / Health & Beauty products on a daily basis to our Service Centres. They are responsible for the overall processing of the customer orders efficiently and at the agreed company rate.

The role is multi-skilled with various duties.

All staff are expected to understand the principles of Good Distribution Practice of Medicinal products for Human use (2013/C 68/01) which is reflected in our SOP – REF Chapter 1 AHDL GDP 1.1. It will be a requirement for all staff to be trained in this SOP and have an annual refresher. All other GDP training will be job specific and as per your personal training matrix.

Hours of Work:
This role involves an annualised hour’s contract. The role will be rotating shifts 06:00 – 14:00hrs and 14:00 – 22:00hrs with a contractually extended 2 hours required if necessary at the end of the shift.

Part of the contract will also include up to 21 Sundays and working Bank Holidays when required.

Early Shift (06:00 – 14:00hrs)

  • Receiving inbound goods
  • Replenishment
  • Toting goods from Receiving
  • Order Picking
  • Housekeeping duties
  • Fork Lift experience required but not essential as training will be provided

Late Shift (14:00 – 22:00hrs)

  • Order Picking
  • Replenishment
  • Loading & Despatching Trailers
  • Housekeeping Duties

Sunday Shift (08:00 – 17:00hrs)

  • Replenishment
  • Order Picking
  • Loading and Despatching Trailers
  • Housekeeping Duties
