Work Type: Project-based position, primarily remote.

On-site presence in London may be required from mid-February to March 1, 2026.

Role mission:

For our client, an iconic tech company known for its innovative products and design, we are looking for a skilled Technical Copy-Editor to join our team at OLIVER. This role blends traditional editorial expertise with operational precision: you’ll work across multiple platforms, workflows, and content types to ensure accuracy, brand consistency, and flawless execution.

In this position, you will ensure the highest quality of client’s localised marketing copy across various platforms and channels, while maintaining the brand’s established tone of voice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Localizing, editing, and proofreading marketing communications, including web content, in-store materials, direct mail, print, and other materials.
  • Validating localized marketing copy for your market.
  • Ensuring consistency with approved translations (translation memory and glossaries).
  • Adhering to grammar, spelling, and punctuation rules.
  • Applying brand writing guidelines effectively.
  • Work across multiple tools (CMS, collaborative editing platforms, task management systems).
  • Ensure high-quality output by following structured workflows, checklists, and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).

Key Qualifications:

Editorial Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in editing/proofreading, either agency or client side.
  • Native speaker of target language.
  • Strong awareness of cultural and linguistic nuances specific to your market.
  • Proven experience in editing, proofreading, or localisation, ideally in marketing/advertising.
  • Excellent command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation in British English.
  • Must have competency with Mac programs.
  • Ability to adapt and refine content to align with brand tone and guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistently meets deadlines.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills, adapting quickly to shifting priorities and maintaining quality in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote teams.
  • Ideally with a Bachelor\'s/Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Marketing, Communications, or Linguistics.

Technical/QA Skills

  • Experience with systems such as CMSs and translation platforms.
  • Comfortable in structured workflows with checklists, SOPs, and defined routing paths.
  • Confident switching between multiple tools and platforms.
