Responsibilities

  • Conduct a unified curriculum for the children, with additional support from online teachers for the main subjects
  • Engage the younger child (4 years old) in developmental tasks during the older child's (7 years old) online classes
  • Assist the older child with homework and clarify challenging material after the main lessons
  • Create and maintain a special learning space, ensuring proper posture and writing techniques, providing physical guidance as necessary
  • Take on nanny duties, supporting the overall care of the children when not engaged in educational activities
  • Collaborate with the second governess to follow a unified educational program for both children, ensuring consistency and teamwork
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of educational materials in advance
  • Teamwork and effective communication are essential to ensure the best outcomes for the children's development and education
  • Accompany the family on travel, as needed, ensuring continuity of the children's education and providing support during trips and vacations
  • Maintain a high level of discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality when dealing with the family's personal matters

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or a relevant subject area; advanced degrees or teaching certifications are a plus
  • Relevant experience working as nanny and governess/tutor not less than 3 years
  • Driving licence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and trust with both children and parents
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Cultural sensitivity and an understanding of the family's values and traditions
  • First Aid and CPR certification, or a willingness to obtain these certifications
  • Willingness to undergo a thorough background check

Nice to have

  • Spanish language proficiency would be an advantage.
