Opportunity Overview

Telkom is offering a SAICA Trainee Programme for an Articles Clerk based in Centurion. This three-year programme is designed to provide comprehensive practical exposure in various financial domains, meeting SAICA's prescribed learning objectives and outcomes.

Participants will gain hands-on experience in areas such as Technical Accounting, Statutory Accounting and Reporting, Internal Audit, Treasury, Taxation, and Business Planning, all aligned with the SAICA training framework. The programme also provides opportunities to explore other business units within Telkom and includes a dedicated leadership and communications programme to foster professional growth.

Minimum Requirements

  • NQF 8 qualification: A 4-year Bachelor’s Degree, Honours Degree, or Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting.
  • No prior experience is required for this programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undergo the SAICA Training Programme as specified.
  • Attend all meetings, trainings, and workshops organised by the Telkom School of Accounting.
  • Ensure full participation and cooperation during each rotation within the programme.
  • Complete SAICA reviews and assessments punctually.
  • Demonstrate consistent progress in studies and comply with all SAICA Training regulations and Telkom Policies and Procedures.
  • Achieve and archive SAICA competencies within the designated training period.
  • Gain practical, on-the-job exposure to develop skills in Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting and Financial Management, Internal Audit, Corporate Governance, Interpersonal and communication skills, and Intellectual, Personal, Organizational, and managerial skills.
