Responsibilities

  • Set up budget plans for Target’s Small format stores, an integral part of Target’s strategic growth initiatives, ensuring those stores meet financial goals and provide a great customer experience.
  • Create and maintain monthly store‑level budget performance plans through ongoing review of revenue trends and labor needs.
  • Display store‑level results, adjusting labor for seasonal variations and workload requirements in a fast‑paced retail environment.
  • Influence labor decisions and optimize Target’s labor spend for these stores by partnering with Operations HQ and functional teams.
  • Impact future Small format and remodel plans by providing ad‑hoc decisions, annual planning, accurate expense forecasting, and proactively identifying threats or opportunities.
  • Establish annual financial goals for these projects, working with cross‑functional teams to set appropriate performance objectives.
  • Plan and manage the store opening capital required for New store openings and High‑Impact remodels to ensure on‑time project start and execution success.
  • Assess the impact of converting a business environment on those plans to deliver accurate financial forecasts and operational plans.
  • Additional responsibilities may vary to support business needs.

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 4 or more years of experience in Finance/Accounting/Audit or related Operations.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet packages, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, decision‑making, project management, forecasting, and business analysis skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, initiative, and willingness to take calculated risks.

Benefits & Compensation

Salary range: $67,600.00 – $121,700.00 USD. Pay is based on education, experience, certifications and market factors. This role may be performed remotely or as a hybrid arrangement.
