Role Description The Student System Administrator role is a full-time remote position supporting the stability, security, and performance of STC-SA’s IT systems and infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with system administration tasks, monitoring system performance, and applying updates under supervision.
The role involves providing basic technical support to internal users, helping troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and escalating complex problems to senior team members as needed.
The Student System
Administrator will support network administration activities, maintain documentation of configurations and procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement of IT processes. This role is designed for an individual who is studying or early in their career and eager to gain practical experience in a professional, international environment.Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge and practical interest in System Administration and Information Technology.
- Ability to perform basic Troubleshooting and provide entry-level Technical Support to users.
- Exposure to or understanding of Network Administration concepts and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a proactive learning mindset.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate in a remote, multicultural team.
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed studies in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Familiarity with common operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and standard office productivity tools.
- Interest in the transport, logistics, or maritime sectors is an advantage.
