Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum education level: Grade 12 or equivalent NQF qualification.
  • Relevant experience in retail or FMCG sectors, demonstrating customer service excellence.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and advise customers effectively.
  • Ability to work flexibly across various shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Proven selling skills with a focus on achieving sales targets and meeting customer needs.
  • In-depth product knowledge, particularly in beauty products, to provide expert advice.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting, engaging, and assisting customers to identify and meet their beauty needs.
  • Apply selling skills to advise customers on products, offer suitable alternatives, and achieve sales and unit targets.
  • Manage stock effectively by monitoring stock movement, ensuring availability, timely launches, and proper merchandising.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth product knowledge to provide expert advice and enhance the customer experience.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and organisation across the sales floor and stock areas.
  • Minimise shrinkage by reporting suspicious activity, following Red Flag processes, and working with security measures.
  • Demonstrate personal leadership through punctuality, adherence to dress code, teamwork, and active participation in team meetings.
