Sr. Manager, Decision Science - Supply Chain Analytics

As a <strong>Sr. Manager, Decision Science - Supply Chain Analytics</strong> within the Best Buy Digital, Analytics, and Technology organization, you will be responsible for delivering high-impact analytic solutions that drive strategic and operational outcomes across the supply chain organization. You will play a critical role in shaping the team’s strategy, owning work prioritization, guiding technical execution, and partnering cross-functionally to embed data-driven decision-making into the business. The team seeks a candidate with extensive background in supply chain operations and experience in applying analytic techniques to solve problems in supply chain.<br><br>This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.<br><br><strong>What You’ll Do<br><br></strong><ul><li>Lead, mentor and grow a team of individual contributors </li><li>Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, understand business challenges and identify opportunities where analytical solutions can drive improved business outcomes </li><li>Partner with business stakeholders to develop their requests into well-structured outcome-based engagements with clear analytic solutions scope </li><li>Oversee the design, development and deployment of descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics to aide in continuous improvement of Best Buy’s supply chain </li><li>Partner cross functionally with supply chain, technology, data operations and ML ops leaders to co-create solutions that deliver impact on operations </li><li>Define success metrics and determine measurement criteria for new capabilities and to monitor the performance of established strategies and operations consistently </li><li>Effectively communicate with diverse audiences – including technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership – through both written and verbal channels <br><br></li></ul><strong>Basic Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>A bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, economics, management, supply chain) or equivalent experience </li><li>5+ years of experience in a quantitative or supply chain field </li><li>3+ years of experience applying SQL, Python, R or similar tool and using visualization tools </li><li>2+ years of experience of leading analytics professionals/teams, directly or indirectly. </li><li>2+ years of analytics experience across supply chain functions (e.g., transportation, warehousing, final mile, fulfillment) <br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Master’s degree in a quantitative field or business field</li><li>Exposure to on-prem and cloud-based analytics management </li><li>Exposure to agile or sprint-based work environment </li><li>Prior direct people leadership experience <br><br></li></ul><strong>What's in it for you?<br><br></strong><strong>Benefits<br><br></strong>We’re committed to helping our people thrive at work and at home.
