Responsibilities
- Write detailed and accurate incident reports describing security events, observations, and actions taken for management review.
- Assist with emergency procedures including fire evacuations, medical emergencies, and crisis situations according to established protocols.
- Conduct searches of personnel, vehicles, and bags entering or leaving the premises to prevent unauthorised removal of property.
- Monitor CCTV camera feeds in real time from a control room, identifying and responding to any unusual or suspicious activity.
- Control access to buildings and sites by verifying identification, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining an accurate access register.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, tenants, and visitors while maintaining a firm and professional security presence.
- Supervise and coordinate a team of security officers, managing shift rosters and ensuring all posts are adequately staffed.
Requirements
- A valid PSIRA registration at the appropriate grade level for the position being applied for.
- A clear criminal record is mandatory and subject to regular review as per PSIRA requirements.
- The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure in emergency or high-stress situations.
- A minimum of one to two years of experience in the security industry with a proven track record of reliability.
- A valid driver's licence is required for armed response and patrol positions.
