Shop Assistant - East JHB

Introduction

We are looking for bubbly, outgoing shop assistants to promote and sell our amazing products!!
We are looking for these candidates who will be able to move between our stores in the East of Johannesburg (Mall@Carnival, Lakeside, Festival and Eastrand Mall).

Eden perfumes is a perfume company with 25 stores in and around Gauteng and 1 shop in Cape Town.

Duties & Responsibilities

Report to: Store Supervisor, Regional and Sales Manager and Members

Your key performance areas:

  1. Selling perfumes, lotions and any other products that the company sells.
    1. Assist customers in product selection in an enthusiastic and professional manner.
    2. Promote products and strive to achieve and surpass monthly sales targets.
    3. Represent the brand and the company in a professional manner.
    4. Encourage customers to become agents for Eden Perfumes, this includes but is not limited to, selling them tester kits.
  2. Stock Control
    1. Reconcile invoice with delivered stock
    2. Pack shelves with purchased stock
    3. Remove stock that is to be returned to the factory
    4. Report and record factory/store damaged goods
    5. Do a stock take once a week; or when requested by management
  3. Store Management
    1. Keep store clean (including floors, shelves, basins, walls, etc.)
    2. Keep shelves and stock neat, clean and in order
    3. Inform management of any maintenance needed in store e.g. replacing light bulbs.
  4. POS System & Administration
    1. Log and record each sale on the computer
    2. Do a cash up at the end of each day
    3. Correct any mistakes that you make on the computer, if you cannot do this, give the POS Manager a please call me so that she can rectify any problems immediately
    4. Bank money
  5. Any other duties that are required (within reason) from time to time by the owners or management.

Desired Experience & Qualification

The candidate must be energetic, self motivated, and have a great positive attitude!

The candidate must also be a 'people's person' - they must enjoy chatting and interacting with people all day. 

Must have basic computer skills 

Must live within in reasonable traveling distance to the above mentioned shopping centres 

Package & Remuneration

R6500 plus commision (if targets are met)  and possible performance based year end bonuses
