SharePoint/Power Platform Developer (Copilot/Claude) - Outside IR35 - Hybrid/Liverpool

About the position

We require an experienced SharePoint Developer for a three-month engagement to modernise our SharePoint Online environment and automate business processes across the Power Platform, with AI tooling - including Microsoft 365 Copilot and Claude - embedded throughout delivery. The developer will deliver improvements to our SharePoint Online environment, modernise existing sites, and automate business processes using the Power Platform. A core objective of this engagement is the practical use of AI tooling - including Microsoft 365 Copilot and Claude - to accelerate development, improve code quality and support end-user productivity. The developer will embed these tools into day-to-day delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain SharePoint Online sites, lists, libraries and content types.
  • Develop custom solutions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), including web parts and extensions.
  • Modernise legacy/classic sites and pages to modern SharePoint Online experiences.
  • Configure permissions, governance and information architecture to our standards.
  • Build and maintain Power Automate flows to automate business processes.
  • Develop Power Apps (canvas and/or model-driven) integrated with SharePoint data.
  • Integrate SharePoint with other Microsoft 365 services (Teams, Outlook, OneDrive).
  • Use Microsoft 365 Copilot to accelerate content, configuration and productivity tasks.
  • Use Claude and Copilot to assist with code generation, review, documentation and testing.
  • Advise on responsible, secure use of AI tooling within the SharePoint environment.
  • Produce technical and end-user documentation for all delivered solutions.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and handover to our internal teams at the end of the engagement.

Requirements

  • Proven SharePoint Online development experience (SPFx, PnP, REST/Graph API).
  • SharePoint administration experience.
  • Strong Power Platform skills (Power Automate, Power Apps).
  • Front-end development: TypeScript/JavaScript, React, HTML/CSS.
  • Microsoft 365 / Entra ID configuration and governance understanding.
  • Hands-on experience with AI development and productivity tools - Microsoft 365 Copilot and Claude.
  • Ability to work independently, manage own workload and deliver to agreed milestones.
