Senior Meta Ads Specialist – South Africa

We are a UK digital marketing agency looking for an experienced Meta Ads Specialist based in South Africa.

This is not a junior or purely administrative role. We need someone who understands Meta advertising inside out, can build campaigns quickly and accurately, and knows how to work with Meta’s advertising algorithm to generate consistent results.

You must have a proven track record of managing successful Meta campaigns and be able to demonstrate the results you have achieved.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for building, managing and optimising Meta advertising campaigns across Facebook and Instagram. You should be comfortable taking a campaign brief and turning it into a well-structured, launch-ready campaign without requiring constant direction.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building and launching Meta campaigns quickly and accurately
  • Structuring campaigns around the objective, budget and customer journey
  • Understanding how Meta’s delivery system learns and optimises
  • Selecting appropriate campaign objectives, bidding strategies and attribution settings
  • Developing effective audience, retargeting and prospecting structures
  • Monitoring campaign performance and identifying optimisation opportunities
  • Scaling successful campaigns without damaging performance
  • Diagnosing issues with delivery, learning, tracking or performance
  • Testing creatives, copy, audiences, offers and landing-page approaches
  • Reviewing account, campaign, ad set and advert-level data
  • Working with creative teams to recommend new angles and formats
  • Checking Meta Pixel, Conversion API and conversion events
  • Producing clear performance updates and explaining the actions taken

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You must:

  • Be based in South Africa
  • Have substantial hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager
  • Understand Meta’s advertising algorithm and delivery system in depth
  • Be able to build complete campaigns quickly and without errors
  • Have a proven record of generating measurable results
  • Understand campaign structure, bidding, budgets and attribution
  • Know how to scale campaigns and manage performance volatility
  • Be confident with lead-generation and conversion-focused campaigns
  • Understand creative testing and how creative affects performance
  • Be able to interpret CPM, CTR, CPC, CPA, conversion rate and ROAS
  • Understand Meta Pixel, Conversion API and event tracking
  • Be able to diagnose problems rather than simply report them
  • Communicate clearly and take ownership of your work
  • Stay current with changes to Meta’s advertising platform

HOW TO APPLY

In your application, please include:

  • A summary of your Meta advertising experience.
  • The types of businesses, campaigns and monthly budgets you have managed.
  • Two examples of campaigns where you delivered strong, measurable results.
  • Screenshots or other evidence supporting those results, with confidential client information removed where necessary.
  • An example of a campaign that was not performing and how you diagnosed and improved it.
  • An explanation of how you structure and test a new Meta campaign.
  • Your experience with Meta Pixel, Conversion API and tracking.
  • Your current availability and expected hourly or monthly rate.

Generic applications will not be considered. We are looking for clear evidence that you genuinely understand Meta advertising and have personally delivered results.
