Senior Manager, Specialty Pharmacies

The Senior Manager, Specialty Pharmacies plays a key role within the Market Access team, supporting successful product launches and driving the performance of Fresenius Kabi’s U.S. Biopharma portfolio. Specialty Pharmacies serve as an essential channel for ensuring optimal patient access and overall product success. In this position, you will lead the development and enhancement of Specialty Pharmacy operations, shape product specific channel strategies, design fee for service and data solutions, and oversee the execution and performance of all Specialty Pharmacy programs. You’ll collaborate closely with cross functional partners and external stakeholders to ensure our products reach the patients who need them—efficiently, effectively, and compliantly. Responsibilities • Manage overall specialty pharmacy performance. • Serve as the Fresenius Kabi point of contact for specialty pharmacy and liaison to internal teams. • Negotiate profitable product and enhanced services contracts and monitor contract performance. • Develop detailed analysis to support contracting decisions by using various patient metrics, market research, available data, and competitive intelligence. • Oversee data feeds, validate data calculations and data input needs on an ongoing basis. • Analyze for data accuracy and cleanliness for both external and internal partners. • Provide recommendations for and lead negotiations and contracting initiatives. • Partner with specialty pharmacy to perform root cause analysis to address and remediate issues effectively. • Manage product procurement activities and resolve any procurement issues with Specialty Pharmacies and Distributors. • Evaluate the specialty pharmacy performance to ensure effectiveness of Fresenius Kabi products and relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPI). • Plan, lead and execute Quarterly Business Reviews with specialty pharmacy. • Develops productive, professional relationships with key personnel across organizations. • Communicate key insights to market access, Brand marketing, and sales teams. • Along with Sr. Director, Channel Distribution & Strategic Development, manage the participation of the broad stakeholder team to achieve customer and product strategies and goals. • Work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Contracting, Market Access Strategy, and Legal to achieve business objectives in all relevant segments for the entire US Biopharma portfolio. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree required. • 8+ years of relevant experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology Industries required. • 2+ years of relevant experience in Channel, Trade & Distribution/Specialty Pharmacy required. • Experience and knowledge in the ability to drive key insights from channel data. • Strong understanding of specialty pharmacy metrics and KPI’s. • Demonstrated understanding of the specialty pharmacy landscape, role that specialty pharmacies play, and their interaction with payers. • Experience with biological therapies and/or biosimilars is highly desired. • Strong project management, vendor management, people management, problem-solving, presentation, interpersonal, negotiation, decision-making and analytical skills required. • Excellent communication (oral and written) and comfort presenting. • Strong team player that has customer service approach and is solution oriented. • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships both within a multi-disciplinary Fresenius Kabi team as well as with external vendors and partners including specialty pharmacies. • Ability to plan and organize work for multiple programs and associated initiatives simultaneously to ensure timelines are achieved. • Sound Microsoft Office Suite skills with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint. • Demonstrated ability to pivot solutions based on shifting market landscape. • Willing to travel up to 15% of the time domestically. Additional Information Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000 per year Position is eligible to participate in a bonus plan with a target of 14% of the base salary. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
