About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Logistics Coordinator to manage and optimize their transportation and supply chain operations in Johannesburg . You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods, coordinating with carriers, managing inventory, and resolving logistical challenges. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on operational efficiency and contribute to the strategic growth of the company's distribution network within Gauteng and beyond. You'll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to excellence in logistics and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities Oversee daily logistics operations, including shipment scheduling, route planning, and load optimization for freight transportation . Coordinate with internal departments and external carriers to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods. Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock takes, and implement inventory control measures. Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement, reduce costs, and enhance service levels. Resolve shipping discrepancies, damages, and delivery issues promptly and professionally. Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics coordination, supply chain management, or a related field. Proven experience with transport management systems (TMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. Strong understanding of domestic and international shipping regulations and best practices. Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite , particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting. Benefits Competitive annual salary.
