<h1>Senior Java Engineering Lead, Credit Exposure- Vice President</h1>Location: Pune Maharashtra IndiaRemote Type: HybridTime Type: Full time<h3>Job Description</h3>The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements</li><li>Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards</li><li>Deliver advanced technology projects providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment. Opportunities available to expand responsibilities to a team leadership position based on leadership potential and performance.</li><li>Provide technical leadership on projects implemented by the wider team of Software Engineers/Analyst Developers using advanced knowledge of application development. Ensure application design adheres to the appropriate architectural and design patterns in the systems.</li><li>Utilize advanced knowledge of engineering process and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging and productionization.</li><li>Collaborate effectively with a large global team of software engineers, business analysts, dev-ops and support staff to deliver software solutions for the business.</li><li>Advance the derivatives exposure processing software infrastructure by continuously adopting new technologies where appropriate to solve business problems while adhering to Citi’s architectural guidelines.</li><li>Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level/junior developers and analysts, helping build the overall engineering capabilities of the team.</li><li>Appropriately assess risk when decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firms reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.</li></ul>Ideal background <ul><li>10+ years Core Java experience developing robust, scalable and maintainable applications applying Object Oriented Design principles.</li><li>5+ years working in the Capital Markets domain. Good understanding of Derivatives and Risk management is as significant advantage.</li><li>Experience with Agile software development processes with a strong emphasis on test driven development.</li><li>Understanding of Java internals such as class loading and memory management.</li><li>Demonstrated capacity to build sophisticated tooling for development and production team use.</li><li>Experience implementing industry best practices.</li><li>Experience with Gen AI tools</li></ul>SkillsExtensive experience working with most if not all the technologies listed below:<ul><li>Java Core with extensive hands-on experience with concurrent programming.</li><li>Spring Framework including Core, Integration, Batch, JDBC, Hibernate.</li><li>Distributed Caching frameworks such as Gemfire, Oracle Coherence, Redis or Apache Ignite.</li><li>Cloud computing technologies with practical experience working with containers, microservices and large datasets (Docker, Kubernetes).</li><li>Databases - RDBMS preferably Oracle, NoSQL preferably MongoDB.</li><li>Familiarity with Linux environment including scripting skills.</li><li>SDLC/Dev Ops - Git/BitBucket, CI/CD pipeline frameworks such as Jenkins, SonarQube, JIRA, Any secure coding toolkits.</li><li>Hands on experience with Gen AI tools</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience</li><li>Master’s degree preferred</li></ul> This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
