Senior Internal Auditor

<strong>Minimum Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Be registered with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) or Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).</li><li>Have NQF 7 (Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma) in relevant field.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>Have at least 3 years’ experience in internal or external auditing.</li><li>Be medically fit to work in the specific business area.</li><li>Clear security screening record.</li><li>Clear credit record</li><li>Have a valid driver’s license (if applicable)<br><br></li></ul><strong>Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Adhere to the organisations code of ethics and related procedures.</li><li>Assist in ad-hoc forensic audits</li><li>Understand and ensure best practice methodologies for Internal Audit are applied.</li><li>Report on the progress and tracking of key risks identified through assurance activities in the business</li><li>Adhere to the vision and mission for Internal Audit that is linked to the business</li><li>Assist in consulting services to the business to assist in meeting current and future risk, business and regulatory requirements</li><li>Adhere to the IIA Professional Practices Framework and IIA Code of Ethics</li><li>Apply innovation and creativity for solutions</li><li>Implement and encourage the utilization of technology in Internal Audit</li><li>Execute the methodology for the Internal Audit discipline</li><li>Market Internal Audit within the company</li><li>Implement practices and technologies to ensure compliance with the IIA Professional Practices Frameworks</li><li>Adhere to the company values.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Additional Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>Advanced understanding of the IIA Professional Practices Framework and IIA Code of Ethics.</li><li>High level of understanding of risk management and governance practices.</li><li>Demonstrate objectivity and a high level of ethics.</li><li>Understanding of the Mine Health and Safety Act, regulations and definitions</li><li>Demonstrate basic understanding of the following HR Legislation: Primary labour legislation that impacts on a business unit, Basic Conditions of Employment Act (Act 75 of 1997), Labour Relations Act (Act 66 of 1995) , Compensation for Occupational Injury and Disease Act 130 of 1993 (COIDA)</li><li>Ability to conduct root cause analysis</li><li>Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of: - IIA Professional Practices Framework, IIA Code of Ethics, IFRS, King 3</li><li>Highly competent to identify risks, controls, weaknesses and make recommendations.</li><li>Ability to act with integrity and exercise good judgement.</li><li>Good written, verbal and listening skills.</li><li>Ability to create professional relationships that do not impair independence.</li><li>Computer skills (MS Office, Teammate & data analytic tools).</li><li>Ability to draw up RACM</li><li>Ability to understand and apply evidence requirements to meet the IIA standards for conclusions to be drawn</li><li>Understanding of relevant current Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental legislation</li><li>Ability to conduct a structured meeting</li><li>Ability to deliver a good quality project within deadlines<br><br></li></ul><strong>Job Purpose<br><br></strong><ul><li>To execute in the delivery of assurances over risk management, control and governance in the organisation.</li></ul>
