Senior Human Resources Manager

Purpose of the position: Based in Jet Park, the purpose of this position is to provide a strategic and operational Human Resources function to the Corporate Stores Division.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR as well as operational service to corporate stores in South Rand, North Rand and Lowveld Regions.
  • Manage and maintain open and regular communication with key stakeholders, including Retailers and Retail operations
  • Manage remuneration and benefits
  • Strategic Talent Management and Succession Planning
  • Ensure recruitment is aligned with EE targets
  • Strategic management of Training and Development
  • Manage third-party stakeholders such as the Wholesale and Retail SETA and service providers
  • Budgets, expenses and forecasting
  • Collaboration with Central Office
  • Improve HR processes
  • Advise and partner with the executive team in driving performance management processes
  • Promote employee engagement through culture, values, continuous improvement, team development and empowerment interventions
  • Implement HR strategies that positively impact the bottom line of the business
  • Identify areas of potential risk to business units

Qualifications and Experience

  • National Senior Certificate (Matric) is a pre-requisite.
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management
  • Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in an HR Management role
  • Extensive knowledge of South African labour legislation and dispute resolution structures
  • Industrial Relations experience in a Unionised environment (essential)
  • Experience with CCMA conciliations and arbitrations
  • Proven experience in talent identification, people development, training implementation and facilitation
  • High integrity with the ability to coach, mentor and manage high-stress environments
  • Strong relationship-building capability with diverse groups
  • Sound leadership and people management skills
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Negotiation and time management skills
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively
  • Previous creditors/finance-related experience
  • Working knowledge of MS Outlook and intermediate Excel
