Senior High School (SHS) Assistant Principal - ECOM

Job Summary

The Senior High School Assistant Principal – E-Commerce (ECOM) assists the SHS Principal in overseeing the academic and operational management of the school's E-Commerce (Online Learning) program. The position ensures the effective delivery of online and blended learning, supervises faculty assigned to the ECOM program, manages digital learning platforms, monitors student engagement and academic performance, and drives continuous improvement of online educational services. The role ensures compliance with DepEd policies, institutional standards, and best practices in digital education.

Key Duties and Responsibilities1. Academic Leadership

  • Assist the SHS Principal in planning, implementing, and evaluating the ECOM academic program.

  • Ensure the quality and consistency of online, synchronous, asynchronous, and blended learning delivery.

  • Monitor curriculum implementation and learning outcomes.

  • Ensure instructional materials meet academic and institutional standards.

  • Recommend improvements to online teaching strategies and digital learning initiatives.

2. Faculty Supervision

  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate ECOM faculty members.

  • Conduct regular classroom observations for virtual and hybrid classes.

  • Review lesson plans, learning modules, and assessment methods.

  • Support faculty in integrating educational technology and innovative teaching approaches.

  • Identify faculty development needs and recommend appropriate training.

3. Online Learning Operations

  • Oversee the daily operations of the ECOM program.

  • Ensure the smooth implementation of the Learning Management System (LMS) and other digital learning platforms.

  • Coordinate with the IT Department regarding technical issues affecting online classes.

  • Monitor class schedules, attendance, faculty workloads, and student participation.

  • Ensure online classes comply with institutional and regulatory standards.

4. Student Success and Engagement

  • Monitor student attendance, participation, academic performance, and retention.

  • Coordinate interventions for students experiencing academic or technical challenges.

  • Work closely with the Guidance Office, Student Affairs, and parents to support student success.

  • Promote student engagement through online activities, webinars, and enrichment programs.

5. Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with DepEd policies and school regulations related to online education.

  • Monitor instructional quality and academic standards.

  • Prepare academic reports and documentation for school management and accrediting bodies.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives based on student and faculty feedback.

6. Administrative Responsibilities

  • Assist in academic planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.

  • Prepare reports on faculty performance, student outcomes, and program effectiveness.

  • Participate in strategic planning and policy development.

  • Represent the SHS Principal during meetings and school activities as assigned.

7. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate with faculty, department heads, IT personnel, Admissions, Registrar, and Student Affairs.

  • Build partnerships with educational technology providers and industry partners.

  • Participate in parent orientations, faculty meetings, and institutional events.QualificationsEducation

  • Master's Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Educational Technology, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of teaching experience, preferably in online, hybrid, or blended learning.

  • At least 2 years of academic supervisory or leadership experience.

  • Experience managing Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital education platforms is highly preferred.

  • Doctoral units or a Doctorate degree is an advantage.
