About the role

As a Scrum Master, you will lead Agile delivery teams in the successful execution of technology solutions and product releases. Acting as a servant leader, you will guide multiple scrum teams, foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, and ensure Agile principles and Scrum practices are effectively implemented. Working closely with Product Owners, developers, stakeholders, and business partners, you will enable teams to deliver high-value solutions through structured sprint planning, backlog management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement. You'll play a key role in driving Agile maturity, removing delivery impediments, and supporting the successful delivery of strategic initiatives across the business.

What you'll do Lead and support multiple scrum teams in the effective application of Agile and Scrum principles. Create an environment of trust, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Coach, mentor, and support team members on Agile values, practices, and ways of working. Facilitate team discussions, decision-making, conflict resolution, and goal setting. Ensure teams have the information and resources required to successfully deliver sprint commitments. Remove obstacles, manage dependencies, and mitigate delivery risks. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including: Sprint Planning Daily Stand-ups Sprint Reviews Sprint Retrospectives Assist Product Owners with backlog management and sprint readiness. Ensure sprint work aligns with agreed priorities and business objectives. Monitor progress against sprint goals and manage unplanned work appropriately. Track delivery metrics, sprint velocity, and team performance to support continuous improvement. Communicate sprint progress, risks, dependencies, and delivery outcomes to stakeholders. Escalate and resolve issues that could impact successful delivery. Build strong relationships between development teams, Product Owners, and business stakeholders. Support the delivery of product releases and ensure alignment with business expectations. Maintain Agile delivery documentation and reporting. Champion Agile methodologies and Scrum best practices across the organisation. Drive improvements in team effectiveness, delivery predictability, and product quality. Promote transparency, empowerment, collaboration, and accountability within teams. Support the broader adoption of Agile ways of working across the business. What you bring Scrum Master certification such as: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Professional Scrum Master (PSM) Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) Equivalent Scrum Master certification or training 3+ years' experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile delivery role. Proven experience delivering IT solutions using Scrum and Agile methodologies. Experience managing multiple Scrum teams simultaneously. Strong experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and managing sprint delivery. Experience working with Product Owners on backlog refinement and prioritisation. Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and delivery teams Planning & Merchandising Digital Technologies / Ecommerce Retail & Functional Services Data & Analytics Business Engagement & Strategy IT Financial Services Strong servant leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities. Deep understanding of Agile principles, Scrum frameworks, and continuous improvement practices. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments. Strong planning, organising, and coordination skills.
