[ad_1] Cybersecurity Analyst I-REMOTE United States of America, Minnesota, reputed company Prairie New 1 additional location United States of America Information Technology / Digital Experience Post Date 9 hours ago Requisition # 158174 Sign Up for Job Alerts PURPOSE : The Cyber Security Analyst serves on the Digital Forensics & Incident Response (DFIR) team, which is responsible for security event monitoring and response to protect the availability, confidentiality, and integrity of reputed company systems and data. The DFIR team utilizes multiple security solutions to achieve this responsibility. These solutions include, but are not limited to, cyber security operations center technologies and processes, SIEM platform, case management, forensic solutions, end point security, etc. This position will additionally review, recommend, and assist in the implementation of improvements to the security ecosystem. They will provide consultative services to the technology and business teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the business. The role will follow, and recommend improvements to, processes and procedures to run the day-do-day aspects of the Cyber Security DFIR team, as well as serve as a resource during security related incidents. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Under close supervision, research, investigate, and respond to attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems security and designs countermeasures. • Ensure information security issues are responded to in a complete and timely manner and as close as possible to the initial stage of attack and detection. • Leverages security applications, such as SIEM, IDS, EDR, AWS Guard Duty, Azure Identity Protection, Office 365 Defender, DLP, Insider Threat Detection, encryption, and vulnerability management solutions for analysis and investigation. • Maintain current and up-to-date knowledge of threat actors, malware, information security news and discussions. • Validate and maintain incident response plan and processes to address potential threats; is a member of the security incident response team. • Conducts root cause analysis and communicates outcomes in a clear and consistent manner. • Works closely with Managed Detection and Response service providers to ensure timely response and incident investigation partnership. • Performs other relevant job duties as required. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education/ Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, digital forensics, or equivalent experience. • Industry certification such as GCIH, CISSP, CISA, CISM, GCFA, GCFE, etc. preferred but not required. Experience: • 1-2 years’ experience in line with job responsibilities • Experience with Incident Response, SIEM, EDR, SOAR, Network Security Appliances, WAF, Web Application testing, and Vulnerability Management. • Knowledge and experience with Cloud Security tooling for AWS and Azure (Entra, O365 Defender) • Knowledge and experience with Common Networking Protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, FTP, SMB, etc. • Knowledge and experience with Multiple application and development framework knowledge preferred • Knowledge and experience with Windows Server, Windows Desktop, Linux, and Unix OS preferred • Scripting experience (python, PowerShell, etc.) preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • Flexible and adaptable to learning and understanding new technologies quickly and frequently under time constraints • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work well in a self-directed manner in a remote work force environment • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills • Ability to work extremely well under pressure while maintaining a professional image and approach • Team player with proven ability to work effectively with other business units, IT management and staff, vendors, and consultants • Exceptional information analysis and investigation abilities; ability to perform independent analysis and distill relevant findings and root cause • Comfortable discussing complex findings and issues with variety of audiences All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status. reputed company is an Equal Opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive and respectful environment for all.
