Remote Proofreader

Sage Expense Management is a leading provider of innovative expense tracking software designed for small to mid-sized businesses across the globe. Our platform simplifies financial processes, from real-time receipt submission to seamless accounting software integration. We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Remote Proofreader to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in upholding our brand's quality and professionalism by ensuring all our written content is flawless, clear, and engaging. This is a Full-Time, fully remote position.

This role offers a competitive salary of $45,000 - $52,000 USD per annum, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

- Meticulously proofread and edit a variety of content, including marketing materials, website copy, blog posts, user guides, and internal communications for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax.
- Ensure all content is consistent with Sage Expense Management's brand voice, tone, and style guidelines.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and development teams to review and refine content, ensuring technical accuracy and clarity.
- Fact-check claims and data to maintain the integrity and credibility of our communications.
- Improve the overall readability and flow of documents to enhance the user experience.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of our company style guide to ensure consistency across all publications.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

- Proven professional experience as a Proofreader, Copy Editor, or in a similar role.
- An exceptional command of the English language, with an expert understanding of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- An outstanding eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to producing high-quality, error-free work.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A self-motivated individual capable of working independently in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with standard office and content editing software.
- Experience in the B2B, SaaS, or financial technology sector is highly desirable but not essential.
