This is a remote position with a competitive hourly rate of $24. About the Company and Industry Workwarp is collaborating with Disney to fill this exciting part-time Security Specialist role. The Worldwide Security and Wellbeing division at Disney is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and wellbeing of all employees, visitors, and assets across various ESPN-owned and leased facilities, as well as remote events worldwide. As a Security Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining the security and integrity of Disney's operations. Key Responsibilities Welcome, screen, and direct all guests following established procedures. Enforce company security and parking policies consistently and fairly. Monitor company property, identify, and report safety and security risks. Secure property as directed and issue hot work permits. Conduct investigations per hot work permit protocols to maintain security at ESPN facilities. Perform general security system checks and access control duties at high-traffic outside posts. Conduct vehicle inspections according to established inspection protocols. May assist with scheduling maintenance for fleet vehicles and respond to medical, fire, security, and other health-related emergencies. May be required to provide security presence at special events and direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Accurately create work orders and identify issues on every standard request. May create work requests and dispatch support personnel to the correct location of requested work orders. Aid in the distribution and tracking of related departmental keys. May monitor handheld radio channels to facilitate communication between teams. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications: Hold a valid Driver's license in the state of Texas. Have at least one year of customer service or related experience. Pass a pre-work record verification, DMV check, and urinalysis drug screen. Currently hold and maintain a valid Non-Charged Security Officer Permit in the State of Texas or be able to obtain one within 30 days. Be flexible to work varying shifts (hours and days off) and stay at work longer than required as mandated. Be able to perform basic work tasks on computers, including using MS Outlook email and Word. Maintain a professional presence in appearance and communications at all times. Complete required hot work permit training. Have clear communication skills and the ability to perform tasks independently within established guidelines. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following preferred qualifications can enhance your application: Excellent customer service skills. Superior ability to write and command basic English grammar. Strong leadership, judgment, and problem-solving skills. Highly adaptable with the ability to make effective decisions under pressure. Ability to operate company transportation, including fleet and golf cart vehicles. Willingness to take control and carefully manage challenging situations. At least 2 years of work experience in Facilities Management or a comparable field handling service demands.
