Regional Manager - 6 Months Fixed Term Contact

## About This Opportunity We're looking for a Regional Manager to join Pick n Pay on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a leadership role where you'll take the helm across all Pick n Pay Clothing stores within a defined region, providing strategic direction, commercial leadership, and operational oversight. You'll be driving performance toward sales, profitability, and customer experience targets while leading a team of Area Managers and Store Managers. ## What You'll Be Doing You'll own regional performance end-to-end—developing and executing regional business strategies aligned with company objectives, monitoring performance across all areas and stores to identify risks and opportunities, and driving achievement of sales targets, GP, and operational KPIs. This means analyzing data, spotting trends, and translating insights into action across the province. Leadership is at the heart of this role. You'll lead, coach, and develop Area Managers and Store Managers, building a high-performance culture focused on accountability and results. Talent development and succession planning will be part of your toolkit, along with driving consistent and effective performance management practices across your teams. Operational excellence matters everywhere. You'll ensure consistent execution of operational standards, policies, and procedures across all stores, drive compliance with audit, risk, OHS, and security standards, and conduct regional store reviews and audits to ensure alignment. Stock management, shrinkage control, and operational efficiency are all in your hands. You'll also drive a customer-first culture across all stores in the region, ensuring consistent execution of visual merchandising and brand standards while monitoring and improving customer experience and service delivery. Financially, you'll own and manage the regional budget, cost control, and overall financial performance. That includes monitoring expenses, shrinkage, and stock losses across all areas, providing performance insights and recommendations to improve results, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. You won't work in isolation. You'll partner with Executive Leadership, HR, Finance, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams, ensuring alignment between Head Office strategy and regional execution while driving cross-functional collaboration. You'll also lead and drive strategic initiatives and transformation projects within the region, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, performance, and customer experience, and supporting the implementation of new systems, processes, and business initiatives. ## What We Need From You You'll need a Diploma or Degree in Retail, Business, or a related field—this is essential. On the experience side, you're bringing 8–10 years of experience in retail clothing with a minimum of 4–5 years in a senior multi-store leadership role at the Area or Regional level. A proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-location operations is non-negotiable. Your commercial and financial management experience should be strong. You need to be computer literate with MS Office and SAP/reporting systems, have a valid driver's license, and be able to travel extensively across the region. ## The Person We're Looking For You've got strong leadership and people development capability—you know how to bring out the best in your teams. Your communication and stakeholder management skills are excellent. You're customer-centric, results-driven, and commercially focused. You stay decisive and resilient in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to influence and drive performance across multiple teams. Technically, you bring advanced retail clothing and commercial acumen to the table. You understand regional financial and performance management, excel at sales, GP, and KPI optimization, and grasp operational governance and compliance. You're comfortable with talent and succession management and understand supply chain and stock management. Visual merchandising execution at scale is something you can drive. ## Why Pick n Pay?
