Recruiter (Talent Acquisition Specialist, Headhunter)

RemoteLegalStaff exists because there are incredibly talented legal professionals all over the world who've never had a shot at the U.S. legal market. We place and fully manage remote legal staff for U.S. law firms, hiring from Latin America, the Philippines, South Africa, and beyond.

We're growing fast, and we don't just place people and disappear. We train them, manage them, go to bat for them, and help them build real careers.

Our internal team is the engine behind all of it. You won't be a cog here. You'll be the reason someone on the other side of the world lands an opportunity that changes their trajectory.

About the role

We're hiring two Talent Acquisition Specialists to own proactive headhunting and outreach: one focused on internal RLS roles (operations, client success, finance, HR, sales, and other functions across our own team), and one focused on external legal and non-legal staffing roles for our US law firm clients (paralegals, legal assistants, attorneys, personal injury specialists, and other legal support staff). Both are active, outbound-first sourcing roles, not post-and-wait recruiting; and both need to be ready to move fast with an extra push whenever a role is urgent or under-filled.

What you'll do

  • Proactively source and headhunt candidates for your focus area — internal RLS roles or external legal-staffing roles — building outbound pipelines rather than waiting on inbound applicants.
  • Use LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Boolean/X-ray search, and other sourcing techniques to reach passive candidates who aren't actively applying.
  • Run targeted outreach campaigns for high-priority or hard-to-fill roles, and move quickly when a role suddenly needs an extra push.
  • Qualify and engage candidates early — assessing fit, availability, and interest before handing off to the recruiting team for screening and interviews.
  • Track sourcing activity and pipeline health, and refine outreach messaging and channels based on what's actually converting.
  • Collaborate closely with recruiters and hiring stakeholders to understand each role's must-haves so outreach stays targeted, not generic.
  • Stay current on where strong candidates actually are — going beyond job boards into referral networks, niche communities, and direct outreach.

What we're looking for (both roles)

  • At least 3 years of hands-on headhunting/outreach experience, with a track record specifically sourcing for fully remote roles.
  • Demonstrated success running proactive outbound campaigns — comfortable cold-outreaching candidates who've never heard of your company.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and Boolean/X-ray search techniques.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Comfort working full-time on a US-hours schedule, fully remote.
  • Self-starter who can manage multiple concurrent searches without losing momentum on any of them.
  • Resilience and persistence

Nice to haves:

  • For the internal-focused role: experience recruiting for operations, client success, finance, HR, sales, or other business-support functions.
  • For the external/legal-focused role: prior experience in legal staffing or recruiting for law firms, and bilingual English/Spanish skills.
  • Experience recruiting for Latin America-based or other international remote talent pools (either role).
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and structured sourcing workflows.

How our hiring process works:

We are a fully remote company, and our hiring process reflects that. The first stages are completely asynchronous: no surprise calls, no scheduling pressure. You will complete a short written application and, if selected, move through an async assessment at your own pace. Candidates who advance through the initial stages will then be invited to schedule a live interview.
