Qualified Plumber (10+ Years Experience) - Residential, Commercial & Industrial - West Rand
Introduction
Reputable company seeking an experienced, qualified Plumber to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems, diagnosing faults, and ensuring all work meets industry standards and regulations across residential, commercial, and industrial properties. This role involves field-based work, emergency call-outs and standby duties, and delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service across the West Rand.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems across commercial, industrial, and domestic sites.
- Diagnose and resolve faults in water supply, drainage, and gas systems.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Carry out new installations on construction and renovation projects.
- Ensure all work complies with SANS plumbing standards, PIRB regulations, and relevant municipal by-laws.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Respond promptly to callouts, emergencies, and standby duties as required.
- Accurately quote materials, labour, and time required for jobs.
- Liaise professionally with clients, site managers, and other contractors.
- Maintain accurate job cards, timesheets, and service reports.
- Keep tools, vehicles, and equipment in good working order.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations on site at all times.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Qualified plumber with a minimum of 10 years' experience
- Proven experience in commercial, industrial, and domestic plumbing
- Construction plumbing experience is an advantage
- Contactable job references are compulsory
- Good health and physical fitness required
- Valid driver's license is compulsory
- Own reliable transport is an advantage
- Living in the Roodepoort area is an advantage
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to work overtime/standby when required
