Role Purpose/Business Unit The Product Manager: Enterprise Security is responsible for the strategic direction, commercial success, profitability, and lifecycle management of Vodacom Business' Enterprise Security portfolio. The role drives product strategy, innovation, pricing, go-to-market execution, and revenue growth while ensuring the portfolio remains competitive and aligned to customer and market needs.

The incumbent identifies emerging cybersecurity trends and market opportunities, develops customer-centric security solutions, manages strategic vendor partnerships, and leads cross-functional teams to deliver profitable growth. The role has end-to-end accountability for portfolio performance, including revenue, margin, customer adoption, and market expansion across security domains such as Managed Security Services, SOC, MDR/XDR, SASE, Cloud Security, Zero Trust, Identity Security, and Email Security.

Your Responsibilities Will Include Strategy Execution

  • Define and execute the Enterprise Security portfolio strategy across key solution domains including Managed Security Services (MSS), SOC, MDR/XDR, SASE, Zero Trust, Cloud Security, Identity Security, Email Security and Secure Networking.
  • Continuously assess cybersecurity market trends, threat landscape developments, regulatory requirements, competitor offerings, and customer security priorities to inform product roadmap decisions.
  • Own the go-to-market strategy, value proposition, positioning, packaging, and lifecycle management of the Enterprise Security portfolio.
  • Drive portfolio revenue, margin, EBIT and Total Contract Value (TCV) growth through effective product investment, optimisation, and innovation initiatives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and launch new security solutions and service enhancements to address emerging market opportunities and customer requirements.
  • Lead business case development, commercial modelling, and investment proposals for new cybersecurity products and strategic initiatives.
  • Establish Vodacom Business as a trusted cybersecurity partner through market-leading security propositions and thought leadership initiatives.
Channel Development and Sales Revenue Growth
  • Develop and execute sales enablement programmes to equip sales teams with security solution knowledge, competitive positioning, use cases, and value-selling capabilities.
  • Support strategic customer engagements, executive briefings, solution workshops, and large deal pursuits involving CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, and executive stakeholders.
  • Develop industry-specific cybersecurity propositions for key sectors including Financial Services, Public Sector, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Mining, and Retail.
  • Lead pricing strategy, commercial packaging, and profitability optimization to ensure competitive and sustainable portfolio performance.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Channel teams to drive demand generation campaigns, customer awareness, and market penetration initiatives.
Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders to accelerate growth and adoption of the Enterprise Security portfolio.
  • Act as the primary business owner and subject matter expert for Enterprise Security products across Vodacom Business.
  • Manage executive relationships with strategic cybersecurity vendors including technology partners, distributors, and service providers to maximise joint business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Operations, Sales, Finance, Legal, Risk, Procurement, and Marketing teams to ensure successful delivery and operational readiness of security solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional governance forums to monitor portfolio performance, customer experience, service quality, and commercial outcomes.
  • Influence senior business leaders and decision-makers to secure support for product investments, innovation initiatives, and strategic portfolio priorities.
  • Provide strategic and technical guidance to internal teams and customers on cybersecurity trends, solution positioning, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Foster strong partnerships with security vendors to align technology roadmaps, unlock partner funding opportunities, and strengthen Vodacom Business' competitive market position.
The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have
  • A relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering or IT or related field.
  • Postgraduate qualifications (Desirable).
  • International recognized Security certifications (Desirable) (CISSP, CISM, TOGAF etc).
    • 7 years relevant Technology Product management experience.
  • Familiar with Product Development lifecycles.
  • Excellent track record in delivering high value Security products & services.
