The Maryville Police Department is seekingindividuals interested in joining our team. Missouri POST certification is preferred but not required. As a lateral hire, you will complete an abbreviated Field Training Program designed to familiarize you with Maryville's unique policies, procedures, and ordinances. Lateral hires are also eligible for a $10,000 sign-on incentive, with a four-year commitment. As a Maryville Police Officer, you'll have received quality training throughout the year to prepare you for your duties of Police Officer, beyond just responding to emergency and non-emergency calls for service and promoting the safety of the public.
Salary range: $25.11/Hour (52,229/Year) to $33.99/Hour ($70,699/Year) Lateral transfer starting salary based on years of law enforcement 12-Hour shifts with three day weekends every other weekend Maryville Police Officer's serve the community by performing a variety of routine and complex public safety duties including patrol, crime prevention, enforcement of all laws, protecting lives and property, conducting arrests, response to calls, conducting preliminary investigations, and encouraging a positive community relationship. This is a non-exempt position that reports directly to a Shift Sergeant of the Police Department. Under the general direction of the shift sergeant, Maryville Police Officer's serve the community by performing a variety of routine and complex public safety duties including patrol, crime prevention, enforcement of all laws, protecting lives and property, conducting arrests, response to calls, conducting preliminary investigations, and encouraging a positive community relationship.
