Function

Hampton Parks, Recreation & Leisure Services is seeking motivated candidates to provide exceptional hospitality to players of the Woodlands Golf Course.

Player Assistants monitor the course for flow of play, courteously enforce on-course rules and regulations, tend to player inquiries and needs, and assure overall guest satisfaction on the course, all from a golf cart. This position is perfect for retirees or students with knowledge of the game of golf. However, all candidates are welcome as training will be provided. .
Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation from high school or successful completion of the GED.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of golf course operations and the game of golf preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
  • Must successfully pass a background check related to this position prior to any offer of employment or promotion.

Additional Requirements

  • Requires shift work to include nights, weekends and holidays.
  • The incumbent may be considered "essential personnel" during city emergency situations, or at the direction of the City Manager or designee which may include long hours and unusual schedules.
