About the Role

We are a growing tuition business looking for dedicated, knowledgeable and reliable tutors to join our team. We are currently recruiting tutors to provide high-quality academic support to school learners across various subjects and curricula.

We are looking for tutors who are confident in their subject knowledge, communicate effectively, and are passionate about helping learners improve their academic performance.

Subjects & Curricula

IEB Tutors:

  • Mathematics
  • English
  • Afrikaans
  • Accounting
  • Life Sciences
  • Physical Sciences

CAPS/DBE Tutors:

  • English
  • Life Sciences
  • Physical Sciences

Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Have achieved 70% or higher in the relevant subject(s) in Matric.
  • Have achieved above 70% in the NBTs(Only relevant if you're applying for the part-time Mathematics tutor position).
  • Have a minimum of 1 year of previous tutoring experience.
  • Have strong knowledge of the relevant curriculum (IEB or CAPS/DBE).
  • Be able to explain concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to individual learners.
  • Be reliable, professional and punctual.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to provide proof of academic results and previous tutoring experience if requested.

Responsibilities

Successful tutors will be expected to:

  • Provide one-on-one and/or small-group tuition.
  • Prepare lessons according to each learner's academic needs.
  • Explain concepts clearly and assist learners with problem areas.
  • Help learners develop effective study and examination techniques.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain professional communication with learners and parents/guardians.
  • Complete lesson and progress reports where required.
