Owner-Driver Courier

Our client in the transport sector is seeking an Owner-Driver Courier to join their Phalaborwa team in Limpopo.

There is real scope to take on regular routes and build a steady base of repeat customers. Vehicles are well-maintained and serviced regularly so you can focus on the deliveries. A valid Code B (light motor vehicle) licence and a clean driving record are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Keep the delivery van or bakkie clean, branded, fuelled, and roadworthy.
  • Reconcile collected parcels and cash-on-delivery payments with the depot at shift end.
  • Execute high-volume multi-drop parcel and document deliveries within tight delivery windows.
  • Scan parcels accurately on collection and delivery using the company handheld or mobile app.
  • Provide courteous, professional service to customers at every doorstep and reception.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of the local suburbs, business parks, and shortest routes.
  • Confident driving a 0.5 ton enclosed van or 1 ton bakkie in busy suburban and city traffic.
  • A valid Code B (light motor vehicle) driving licence with a clean driving record.
  • Honest and reliable, with the ability to handle valuable parcels responsibly.
  • A friendly, presentable, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to work at pace under deadline pressure.

Qualifications

Grade 10 minimum. Valid Code B licence and smartphone literacy.
