About the role

As a Nurse Lead, you will play a key role in guiding and supporting a team of Nurse Coordinators who provide patient assistance through phone and video interactions. This team is dedicated to helping patients understand clinical research opportunities and assessing their eligibility through structured, high-quality engagements. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring your team delivers compassionate, accurate, and efficient support while managing a high volume of patient interactions. You'll provide leadership, coaching, and oversight to drive performance, maintain quality standards, and support the mission of increasing patient participation in clinical trials.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage team assignments and scheduling to align with business priorities and operational needs

  • Enter and manage leads within the telephony system to support workflow efficiency

  • Provide frontline support by assisting with calls during peak times or staffing gaps

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Nurse Coordinators, addressing escalations, concerns, and team needs

  • Stay actively engaged with team operations by monitoring communication channels and agent activity

  • Conduct call coaching and quality reviews to ensure a consistent, high-quality patient experience and identify opportunities for improvement

  • Collaborate with fellow Nurse Leads to drive productivity, share best practices, and implement process improvements

  • Deliver training and support as new campaigns or updates are introduced

  • Participate in onboarding and training of new hires

  • Maintain and update SOPs and training materials in partnership with the Operations Improvement Manager

About you

  • Minimum of 3+ months of experience in a Nurse Coordinator role

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Active LPN or RN certification required (U.S.-based credentials preferred)

  • At least 3–5 years of professional experience required; clinical background preferred

  • Previous call center or tele-nursing experience is an advantage

  • Strong passion for people leadership and coaching for performance excellence

  • Highly self-motivated with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset

  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex medical terms

  • Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail

  • High proficiency in online systems, tools, and technology
