About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Power Platform Specialist to join our digital transformation team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative business solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SharePoint Online, Microsoft Dataverse, and Power Platform technologies, combined with excellent consulting, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Power Platform Development

  • Design, develop, and implement solutions using Microsoft Power Platform.

  • Build and maintain Model-Driven Apps, Canvas Apps, Power Automate workflows, and Power Virtual Agents.

  • Configure and manage Microsoft Dataverse for business applications.

  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365 and third-party systems using Standard and Premium Connectors.

  • Ensure solutions follow best practices for performance, security, scalability, and governance.

2. SharePoint & Microsoft 365 Solutions
  • Develop and maintain SharePoint Online solutions to support collaboration and business processes.

  • Configure SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, permissions, and workflows.

  • Integrate SharePoint Online with Power Platform applications.

  • Support Microsoft 365 solutions that enhance productivity and collaboration.

3. Consulting & Project Delivery
  • Work closely with customers to understand business requirements and recommend suitable solutions.

  • Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

  • Lead technical workstreams and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver successful projects.

  • Provide technical guidance, conduct solution reviews, and ensure high-quality delivery.

4. Leadership & Continuous Improvement
  • Mentor junior team members and promote best practices.

  • Stay current with Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Viva, and Copilot capabilities.

  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes through automation and low-code solutions.

  • Contribute to governance standards and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

  • 5+ years of experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform.

  • Strong experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft Dataverse.

  • Proven experience with Model-Driven Apps, Canvas Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, and Power Platform Standard & Premium Connectors.

  • Experience consulting with customers and translating business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Ability to lead projects, work collaboratively within teams, and mentor junior team members.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Highly Desirable Skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Viva and Microsoft Copilot.

  • Knowledge of Power Platform governance, security, and environment management.

  • Experience integrating Power Platform with Azure services or Microsoft Graph API.

  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL-200, PL-400, PL-600, or equivalent).

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree, Higher Certificate, or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications are advantageous.

  • Contract Duration: 12 Months (with possibility of renewal)

  • Salary: Negotiable

  • Location Options: Johannesburg / Cape Town / Remote
