About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Maternity Nurse to provide specialized overnight care for newborns and support for new mothers in Randburg . This vital role focuses on ensuring the well-being of both infant and parent during the crucial postpartum period, offering expert care and guidance through the night. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of infant care, lactation support, and postpartum recovery, providing a calm and reassuring presence. You will be instrumental in helping families adjust to their new arrival, ensuring rest and recovery for the parents.

Key Responsibilities Provide expert overnight care for newborns, including feeding, changing, and comforting. Monitor infant vital signs and development, reporting any concerns to parents. Offer support and guidance on breastfeeding or bottle-feeding techniques. Assist mothers with postpartum recovery and emotional well-being. Educate new parents on essential infant care practices. Requirements Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent qualification with specialized training in maternity and neonatal care. Extensive experience in caring for newborns and supporting postpartum mothers. In-depth knowledge of infant sleep patterns, feeding, and development. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a empathetic and professional demeanor.
