<strong>Job Description<br><br></strong>Global Merchant & Network Services brings together American Express' merchant and network-related businesses. This includes the management of our relationships across the globe with both the millions of merchants who accept American Express, as well as our partners in countries and territories that deliver card acceptance, issuance and innovation.<br><br>GMNS Product leads the strategy, development, delivery, and operations of American Express network and acquirer products that power $1.9T+ in annual customer transactions. We serve our merchants, partners, and issuers across more than 170 markets worldwide, growing revenue by driving strategic, multi-year initiatives that deliver differentiated value to direct merchants, merchant partners, network partners, and ecosystem partners.<br><br>Within GMNS, the Product Growth organization is responsible for bringing Product and Network capabilities to market, evolving the product portfolio through partner engagement, and ensuring solutions work effectively with the right partners at the right time.<br><br>The Partner Solutions Consulting function sits at the center of the Product Growth pillar, working with our most strategic partners to co-create the technical roadmaps required to achieve shared commercial priorities. The team develops deep expertise in partner product strategies, identifies synergies with GMNS capabilities, and translates partner insights into prioritized product investments.<br><br>In this role, the Manager, Partner Solutions Consulting will deep dive into partners’ product strategies, identify synergies with Amex capabilities, and translate partner needs into our internal roadmaps for prioritized delivery.<br><br>This role reports directly into the Vice President, Partner Solutions Consulting and will closely collaborate with GMNS Product, Digital Labs, Partner Account Management, and senior partner stakeholders across geographies.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Support and manage partner-specific technical roadmaps that align partner product strategies with GMNS Product priorities and shared commercial objectives. </li><li>Develop a deep understanding of strategic partners' business priorities and technical capabilities to identify opportunities that drive mutual growth and differentiated network solutions. </li><li>Translate partner requirements into well-defined product requirements, business cases, and roadmap recommendations, working closely with GMNS Product teams to prioritize enhancements and resolve competing priorities. </li><li>Represent partner perspectives in product planning, roadmap reviews, and prioritization discussions to help ensure customer and partner needs are reflected in product investment decisions. </li><li>Work cross-functionally with Solutions Enablement, Partner Account Management, other stakeholders to coordinate product delivery, launch readiness, and successful partner outcomes. </li><li>Support strategic product discussions with partner stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor while identifying risks, managing dependencies, and driving alignment across internal and external teams. </li><li>Capture and synthesize partner feedback, market insights, and industry trends to inform future product enhancements and continuous improvement of GMNS capabilities. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Extensive experience in partner-facing, product management, consulting, strategy, business development, or related roles within payments, financial services, technology, or platform businesses. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with strategic partners and collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver complex initiatives and business outcomes. </li><li>Experience translating customer or partner needs into product requirements, business cases, or roadmap recommendations that influence product development and prioritization. </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate competing priorities, make data-driven recommendations, and communicate trade-offs effectively. </li><li>Working knowledge of payments, network products, digital commerce, or related financial technology ecosystems, with the ability to quickly develop expertise in American Express network capabilities and product offerings. </li><li>Proven ability to influence stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization, driving alignment across Product, Technology, Commercial, and Partner teams without direct authority. </li><li>Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging internal stakeholders and external partners to drive successful outcomes. </li><li>Ability to travel for partner and stakeholder meetings, estimated up to 20%, depending on home office location.<br><br></li></ul>Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the UK is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.<br><br><strong>About Us<br><br></strong>At American Express, our culture is built on a 175-year history of innovation, shared values and Leadership Behaviors, and an unwavering commitment to back our customers, communities, and colleagues.
