Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to supervise maintenance activities in our client’s manufacturing facility in Western Cape. The successful candidate will supervise the maintenance function, ensuring breakdowns are resolved and preventative maintenance programmes are executed.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise maintenance teams across daily plant operations
  • Coordinate planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance activities
  • Prioritise breakdowns according to production requirements
  • Investigate recurring equipment failures and implement corrective measures
  • Monitor maintenance KPIs, equipment downtime, and work completion
  • Assist with maintenance planning, shutdowns, and improvement projects
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety and engineering standards
  • Maintain accurate maintenance reports, work orders, and equipment records
  • Coach and develop artisans and maintenance personnel

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric
  • Millwright/ Electrician/ Fitter Trade Test
  • 3 - 5 Years experience supervising maintenance teams in a manufacturing facility
  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Preventative maintenance and fault-finding experience
  • Leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills
