Logistics / Fleet Controller (Degree)

Introduction

A well-established manufacturing company based in Roodepoort is looking for an experienced and highly organised Logistics / Fleet Controller to join their team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor the company’s fleet and daily logistics activities.
  • Plan and coordinate vehicle movements, deliveries and collections.
  • Monitor vehicle utilisation, routes, fuel consumption and operating costs.
  • Ensure vehicles are properly maintained, licensed and compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Coordinate vehicle servicing, repairs and maintenance schedules.
  • Monitor driver performance, attendance and compliance.
  • Manage delivery schedules and ensure timely and efficient distribution of goods.
  • Maintain accurate fleet, logistics and vehicle documentation.
  • Liaise with drivers, suppliers, customers and internal departments.
  • Identify and resolve logistical and fleet-related issues promptly.
  • Prepare relevant reports and provide management with regular updates on fleet and logistics performance.
  • Assist with improving operational efficiency and reducing logistics costs.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Relevant degree or tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Operations Management or a related field.
  • 3+ years’ relevant experience in fleet management, logistics or transport coordination.
  • Strong understanding of fleet operations, vehicle maintenance and logistics processes.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good computer literacy, including MS Office/Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • A valid driver’s licence is essential.

Package & Remuneration

R27 000 CTC to R36 000 CTC per month based on experience and qualifications
