We like to refer to the role as internal consultants, where our “clients” are the executive members of Capitec Business. To illustrate what your role entails in practical terms, consider the following examples of recent initiatives our team has undertaken. We devised an incentive scheme model for the Business Bank sales staff, including the implementation, measurement, and refinement thereof. We are actively involved in writing strategy documents and business plans for new projects or optimizing existing ones. We also construct financial models to assess the impact of our proposals. From time-to-time we conduct due diligence audits on key clients, aiding Credit decision-making. We perform company valuations on potential M&A targets, competitor analyses and property valuations when required. On top of that, we also attend and minute all Business Bank exco meetings to ensure we understand the bank’s strategic direction. In summary, the most compelling aspect of this job is the opportunity to make significant contributions to the bank that directly affect the lives of SMEs.
