Interior Designer (UK - London based)
Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead and develop interior design concepts for residential and mixed-use developments from concept to completion
- Work closely with the in-house development and architecture teams to ensure the interior design aligns with the project vision and goals
- Select and specify Furniture, Fixture & Equipment, finishes, materials, lighting, and joinery in line with project budget and design intent
- Coordinate with a China-based Assistant Interior Designer for the preparation of CAD drawings, 3D visualizations, and technical documentation
- Assist in the procurement and outsourcing of second fix materials (e.g., sanitary ware, tiles, lighting, cabinetry) from China, ensuring quality control and timely delivery
- Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors both in the UK and abroad
- Conduct project site visit across South-west London as needed to monitor installation and ensure design accuracy
- Applicants must have the existing right to work in the UK and will not require sponsorship for a UK worker visa
- Bachelor\'s degree or higher in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in interior design, preferably with experience in residential or property development sectors
- Strong design sensibility with a keen eye for detail and functionality
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and/or other relevant design software
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, especially across time zones and cultures
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and stakeholders with confidence and clarity
- Clear understanding of British design aesthetics, lifestyle preferences, and market expectations, particularly within the mid to high-end residential market
- Familiarity with UK building regulations, materials trends, and procurement best practices
- Prior experience working with overseas teams or suppliers—particularly in China—is not required but would be considered an advantage
- Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency is just an advantage but not required
