Human Resources Manager

<p><strong>Purpose: </strong>To serve as a strategic partner to SPAR North Rand Admin departments, supporting managers and employees in achieving business objectives through alignment between HR strategies and the organisation’s goals, in order to foster a positive work environment and promoting a culture of performance and engagement.</p><p>Key Performance Areas</p><p>Strategic HR Support</p><ul><li>Lead and implement projects that drive the HR strategy, efficiency, transformation and process standardization within SPAR North Rand Division.</li><li>Ensure all HR services, policies, processes, and systems are aligned with</li></ul><p>SPAR’s strategic priorities.</p><ul><li>Collaborate with management to understand their business objectives and challenges to ensure that HR strategies are aligned appropriately to deliver solutions that meet business units’ objectives.</li><li>Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and staff on HR matters, supporting managers in dealing with complex cases, performance, attendance and employee relations issues.</li><li>Champion continuous improvement and build knowledge base of lessons learnt on HR issues from successful and unsuccessful initiatives.</li><li>Provide support during change processes and help manage transition activities to ensure minimal disruption.</li><li>Collaborate with the leadership team and internal stakeholders to drive and entrench SPAR culture and employee engagement.</li></ul><p>Employee Relations</p><ul><li>Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, including the reviewing and updating of all policies and procedures.</li><li>Address employee relations issues ,conduct investigations, and provide guidance on conflict resolution.</li><li>Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, resolving workplace issues promptly.</li><li>Manage disciplinary processes in accordance with the organisation’s code of</li></ul><p>conduct, disciplinary policy and procedures, and the LRA.</p><ul><li>Proactively work to maintain positive and inclusive workplace culture through implementing strategies that improve employee engagement and retention.</li><li>Continuously ensure optimal support for people to enable meeting of company objectives by utilizing employee data, e.g. surveys, exit interviews, employee listening tools.</li></ul><p>Talent acquisition & Onboarding</p><ul><li>Partner with recruitment teams to develop resourcing strategies to attract and hire top talent to support existing business.</li><li>Analyze talent acquisition trends to manage resource forecasting and planning.</li><li>Implement the recruitment strategy in line with SPAR’s transformation strategy.</li><li>Oversee onboarding programs to ensure a seamless transition for new hires.</li></ul><p>Performance Management</p><ul><li>Provide strategic coaching and advice to managers on organisational effectiveness, team dynamics, and leadership development.</li><li>Advise and coach managers on people related processes, including performance management, team and personal development, career planning, resource planning, and restructuring needs.</li><li>Collaborate with the talent management team to support and develop employees in order to contribute to an engaged workforce and high-performance teams.</li><li>Support the performance appraisal processes, coaching managers on setting objectives and providing feedback.</li><li>Provide guidance to employees on reviews and evaluations, feedback, and improvement plans.</li></ul><p>HR analytics & reporting</p><ul><li>Drive data integrity to ensure compliance with business standards for reporting, including audits of processes and systems.</li><li>Analyze and report HR information to support with benchmarking and the development of HR strategies and solutions, ensuring that all internal and external reporting requirements are satisfied through the provision of management information.</li><li>Analyze performance metrics, including employee retention and experience data, to identify areas for improvement, drive enhancements, and provide actionable insights to enhance decision-making.</li><li>Use data insights to measure the impact of HR initiatives.</li></ul><p>Stakeholder relationship management</p><ul><li>Continuously keep abreast of regulatory compliance standards (internal and external) and ensure organisational awareness at both line management and employee levels.</li><li>Ensure Admin Departments’ compliance with SPAR Group HR processes.</li><li>Provide interpretation and guidance with regard to Labour legislation for ease of understanding for employees.</li><li>Ensure HR SLA obligations towards clients are met and supplierSLA are met.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Skills/Knowledge/Experience</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, or related field</li><li>Minimum of 5 years experience as an HR generalist, preferably in HR management.</li><li>Experience with HR Information Systems</li><li>Working knowledge of Employment laws (BCEA, LRA, EEA, CCMA).</li><li>Understanding
