This full-service London law firm, serving national and international clients since 2005 are seeking a Head of Family Law to lead and build out their Family department. The firm holds Law Society accreditation in Family Law, and its family lawyers are members of Resolution.

This is a rare, fully remote opportunity for a senior family law specialist to take genuine ownership of a department, shape its direction, and build a team around them as it grows.

The Firm

The firm has recently opened an office in Dubai and have built a reputation over two decades for guiding clients through complexity with confidence, developing substantial expertise across residential and commercial property, litigation, family law, private client and immigration work. Their client base spans local, national and international markets, including high-net-worth clients, generating strong levels of repeat instruction and referral business. 

The Role

This is an opportunity for an experienced family lawyer to come in and take the department forward with a real focus on business development.

Your caseload will centre on children, matrimonial and financial matters. As the department grows, the role is expected to move towards a split between fee-earning and management responsibilities, with real scope to build and lead a team of your own over time.

Requirements

  • You will have strong experience across children, matrimonial and financial matters
  • You will have a genuine appetite for business development and growing a caseload and client base
  • You will be comfortable operating with autonomy and enjoy shaping a department's direction remotely
  • Previous experience managing or mentoring a team 

Remuneration

  • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience, plus bonus/commission
