Head of Ecommerce/ eCommerce Manager

Our client is launching an exciting new eCommerce division and is looking for an ambitious leader to build it from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to shape strategy, implement best-in-class digital commerce practices and establish a high-performing function that will play a key role in the company's future growth.

The successful candidate will combine commercial thinking with technical understanding, using data, digital marketing and customer insight to create an outstanding online customer experience while driving sustainable revenue growth.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's eCommerce strategy and long-term growth roadmap.
  • Build and lead a new eCommerce division, establishing processes, systems and best practices.
  • Drive online revenue growth through digital acquisition, customer retention and conversion optimisation.
  • Oversee website performance, user experience and platform enhancements.
  • Lead digital marketing initiatives including SEO, paid media, email marketing and customer lifecycle campaigns.
  • Analyse customer behaviour, sales performance and business intelligence to guide strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align digital initiatives with broader commercial objectives.
  • Manage technology partners, agencies and platform vendors.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team as the division expands.
     

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Significant experience leading eCommerce and digital growth initiatives.
  • Strong commercial understanding with a proven ability to grow online revenue.
  • Experience with digital marketing, customer acquisition and performance marketing.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience using reporting tools and business data to drive decisions.
  • Knowledge of eCommerce platforms, CRM systems and web technologies.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and external partners.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build new capabilities from the ground up.
