Gauteng Sales Representative (Hybrid)

Introduction

An exciting opportunity exists for a commercially driven Sales Representative to execute sales and brand strategies across key urban markets in Gauteng.This role is focused on driving brand availability, visibility, and volume growth within on-trade (bars, clubs, restaurants), high-energy venues, and selected off-trade retail channels.

  • Johannesburg CBD
  • Soweto
  • Surrounding key urban zones within Gauteng

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure optimal product availability across all assigned on-trade, high-energy, and selected off-trade channels
  • Execute channel-specific brand strategies and priorities in line with market dynamics
  • Drive sales volumes through innovative, targeted, and insight-led initiatives
  • Implement promotions in line with agreed brand strategies and ensure correct channel alignment
  • Maximise in-outlet visibility through menus, displays, merchandising, and point-of-sale material
  • Monitor, track, and optimise ROI on all promotional and activation activities
  • Execute structured call cycles across the territory, ensuring high outlet coverage and engagement
  • Maintain accurate outlet profiling, reporting, and completion of all administrative requirements
  • Engage directly with consumers across venues to build brand affinity and gather insights
  • Capture market intelligence and translate insights into actionable sales opportunities
  • Manage promotional stock and resources effectively to support sales objectives
  • Ensure compliance with pricing, discounting, and financial control guidelines
  • Maintain and manage operational assets within agreed budget parameters

Desired Experience & Qualification

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in FMCG, liquor, or a related industry
  • Strong understanding of on-trade and/or retail channels
  • Proven ability to execute brand and category strategies in-market
  • Commercially minded with strong negotiation ability
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics and promotional ROI
