About the Role

Location: Remote

Compensation: Paid per project

Employment Type: Independent contractor / freelance

We are looking for freelance writers who can produce high quality newsletters and blog articles on a recurring basis for SaaS and AI startups. Most projects involve writing founder style updates, product and feature explainers, industry analysis pieces, educational content, thought leadership angles, and narrative driven posts that help companies communicate clearly with customers, investors and the broader market.

The ideal candidate is comfortable researching new tools or trends, understanding the positioning of a product, identifying relevant themes for a startup audience and transforming that information into well structured writing that is engaging, insightful and credible.

Work is assigned per project and typically follows a recurring publishing schedule such as weekly or monthly newsletters or ongoing blog series.

Requirements

  • Strong writing skills with a clear and structured narrative style
  • Ability to synthesize information from product pages, demos, interviews or industry sources
  • Comfortable writing for startup founders, operators and technical audiences
  • Excellent written communication in English
  • Attention to detail and consistency
  • Experience writing newsletters, blog posts, thought leadership or editorial content
  • Ability to follow briefs, templates and recurring content workflows

Nice to Have

  • Experience in SaaS, AI or B2B technology content
  • Familiarity with content research workflows and light keyword validation
  • Interest in emerging technologies and startup ecosystems
  • Backgrounds in journalism, content strategy, marketing or long form writing
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity or Claude
