Role Description: This is a full-time, equity-based Fractional Chief Sales & Marketing Officer role with an equity-heavy compensation structure and no cash component, open only to Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents. The position is hybrid, based in Singapore, with flexibility for partial work from home.

The role involves leading overall sales and marketing strategy for deep-tech and climate-tech solutions, including defining market positioning, go-to-market plans, and growth roadmaps. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and managing sales pipelines, developing key customer and partner relationships, overseeing branding and digital presence, and aligning marketing campaigns with product and technology roadmaps. The CSMO will collaborate closely with founders and technical teams, guide market research and competitive analysis, and establish metrics and reporting frameworks to drive revenue growth and market expansion.

The role also includes mentoring commercial teams, shaping investor-facing materials, and representing AgroNest at industry events, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in sales leadership and business development, including enterprise or B2B sales, pipeline management, and strategic account growth.
  • Experience in marketing strategy, brand positioning, and demand generation across digital and offline channels, ideally within deep-tech, climate-tech, or related sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability in go-to-market planning, market segmentation, and commercial modeling for innovative technology products or platforms.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and analytics, such as CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and data-driven campaign optimization.
  • Track record of partnering with founders and cross-functional teams to align product development with market needs and customer feedback.
  • Knowledge of agriculture, sustainability, climate solutions, or industrial/impact sectors is highly beneficial.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage customers, partners, and investors.
  • Comfort with equity-based compensation and an entrepreneurial, early-stage environment; prior startup or scale-up experience is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees.
