FMCG Delivery Driver — 1.5 Ton Truck

Due to fleet expansion, a busy distribution centre in Roodepoort, Gauteng now has room for an additional FMCG Delivery Driver — 1.5 Ton Truck. The position rewards consistency, careful handling of cargo, and a willingness to go the extra mile.

Responsibilities

  • Capture accurate proof of delivery and resolve short or damaged deliveries on the spot.
  • Report delivery issues, stock shortages, and customer feedback to the supervisor.
  • Provide reliable, friendly service to every customer on the route.
  • Deliver stock to customers, retail stores, and branches along a set daily route.
  • Secure medium loads correctly so nothing shifts or is damaged in transit.
  • Carry out daily safety checks on the bakkie or 1.5 ton truck and keep it clean and roadworthy.

Requirements

  • At least two years of delivery or distribution driving experience.
  • Physically fit and willing to assist with loading and unloading.
  • Honest and trustworthy when handling stock and cash collections.
  • Good knowledge of the local delivery area and the ability to plan efficient runs.
  • Comfortable driving a 1 ton bakkie or 1.5 ton truck on daily multi-drop routes.

Qualifications

Grade 10. Valid Code B licence and delivery experience.
