FMCG Delivery Driver

To provide reliable, friendly service to every customer on and capture accurate proof of delivery and resolve short or damaged deliveries, a distribution company in Soweto, Gauteng is seeking an FMCG Delivery Driver.

Punctuality, dedication, and looking after the vehicle are highly regarded here. You will work alongside an experienced and supportive transport team in a well-run depot. Responsibilities

  • Reconcile cash-on-delivery payments and returns with the office at shift end.
  • Carry out daily safety checks on the vehicle and keep it clean and roadworthy.
  • Deliver stock to customers, retail stores, and branches along a set daily route.
  • Report delivery issues, stock shortages, and customer feedback to the supervisor.
  • Plan the most efficient route to complete all drops within the working day.
  • Assist with stock loading at the depot and confirm orders before departure.
  • Load and unload goods safely and verify quantities against delivery documentation.

Requirements

  • Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused.
  • A valid Code B (light motor vehicle) driving licence with a clean driving record.
  • At least two years of delivery or distribution driving experience.
  • Comfortable with electronic proof-of-delivery and route apps on a smartphone.
  • Comfortable driving a 1 ton bakkie or 1.5 ton truck on daily multi-drop routes.
  • Good knowledge of the local delivery area and the ability to plan efficient runs.
  • Physically fit and willing to assist with loading and unloading.

Qualifications

Grade 10. Valid Code B licence and delivery experience.
