About the role
We are seeking a Finance Analyst to join our finance team in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates to launch their career in accounting and financial analysis within a respected humanitarian organisation. This is a full-time position that will provide you with comprehensive exposure to financial operations, reporting, and analysis in a dynamic and purposeful environment.In this role, you will support the finance function by assisting with financial data analysis, reporting, and other key accounting activities that contribute to the effective management of our organisation's resources.
Selected applicants may be assigned to General Accounting, Accounts Payable, or Special Projects Unit.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports in accordance with Philippine accounting standards and organisational requirements
- Support the reconciliation of general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy of financial records
- Compile and organise financial data from various sources to support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes
- Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis to support departmental and organisational planning
- Help maintain financial databases and spreadsheets, ensuring data integrity and proper documentation
- Support the processing and coding of financial transactions in the accounting system
- Prepare supporting schedules and working papers for internal and external audits
- Assist with cash flow analysis and forecasting activities
- Collaborate with various departments to gather financial information and resolve queries
- Support compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (recent graduates are encouraged to apply)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software or systems
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, financial statements, and the accounting cycle
- Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good organisational and time management abilities, with capacity to manage multiple tasks
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English and Filipino
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and take direction from senior staff
- High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
- Willingness to learn and develop technical accounting and analytical competencies
- Preferably, experience or familiarity with non-profit or humanitarian sector accounting practices (desirable but not essential)
